Former Majical Cloudz leader Devon Welsh is once again giving us some new material. This time it's the new track "Faces," which has arrived alongside a new video.
While a staple in Welsh's live sets for quite a while, "Faces" comes in the wake of his 2018 album Dream Songs, complete with added synths and sound processing from Nick Schofield and Kyle Jukka and with mixing by Austin Tufts of Braids.
"I feel that there's a bittersweetness to life," Welsh said in a statement about the song. "There's suffering and we know it has to end, but there's so much tenderness in it nonetheless."
As for the video for "Faces," it's a black-and-white affair that captured in the woods of Wisconsin, where he also recorded Dream Songs.
