While known of late for firing off sass-tacular subtweets about his old bandmates, David Crosby has also led a damned impressive music career since the '60s. While he's apparently working on a new solo album, he'll be taking his decades-long songbook around North America for a summer tour.
A press release confirms that the "legendary singer-songwriter and social justice activist" is heading out on the road come August for his "An Evening with David Crosby" tour. What, exactly, he'll be playing on these dates is unclear, but over the years, Crosby co-founded jangling pop greats the Byrds in the early '60s, played as part of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and embarked on his own lengthy solo career, among other musical endeavours.
The trek kicks off in the Eastern part of the U.S., but Crosby will spend the September portion of the tour playing nine shows up in Canada. You'll find a fleshed-out show schedule down below.
While the songwriter's latest release is 2014's Croz, he has been working on a new album with Snarky Puppy's Michael League. Details have yet to be revealed on the project beyond that.
Earlier this year, Crosby's longtime musical partner Graham Nash said he was "done" with him, stating that Crosby had been acting "just fucking awful" towards him for the last couple of years.
