David Bowie

"'Tis a Pity She Was a Whore"

David Bowie is set to release Nothing Has Changed on November 28 (via Columbia/Legacy), but for now he's shared a new cut from the forthcoming career-spanning collection.

"'Tis a Pity She Was a Whore" serves as the B-side to the previously heard single "Sue (Or in a Season of Crime)" and packs the solid art-rock punch we've come to expect from the musical icon. The two songs will be featured on a 10-inch single to be released on November 17.

A press release on Bowie's Facebook page notes that the song (and its accompanying visuals) exemplifies the "shocking rawness of the First World War," while the title of the song is taken from a John Ford Restoration play from 1629. You can give it a listen below.
