Having previously played in post-hardcore act Despistado and Geronimo, Regina musician Dagan Harding is now carving out a career as a solo artist. His new direction unfolds on debut LP Best Times, which you can hear online right now.
Featured on the seven-song set are spritely indie rock songs like "Naked Eye" and "Pretty Expert," which are packed with bright and buzzy guitars and Harding's sweet and squeaky vocals. Also displayed are more mellow entries like "Keep Someone Close," which features the twilight sparkle of strings. Contributors to the collection include violinist Andrea Hedlund, guitarist Leif Thorseth (Despistado/Rah Rah) and Library Voices drummer Mike Thievin.
Blending together the sounds of turn-of-the-century emo/indie acts like American Football, Very Secretary and Knapsack, you'll find Best Times down below, and for sale on Bandcamp.
