D-Sisive

Despite the dark, emo honesty of his recent music, D-Sisive’s set at the Rivoli demonstrated he still has the knack for the theatrics of his D-Siggy's Playhouse performances. Opening his set with a processional of horn-blowing faux-ostriches that accompanied him to the stage, he proceeded to perform in all black with his hood up, reminiscent of Death incarnate. Or maybe that was just the mood of the music. However, it wasn't all morose; D kept things light with his humorous punch lines, his humble between song banter, and his quick tangent into "Ice Ice Baby” during "ThisIsWhatItSoundsLikeWhenWhiteboysListenToHipHop.”
