Cripple Bastards

Desperately Insensitive

BY Greg PrattPublished Jan 1, 2006

Italy's Cripple Bastards have been dishing out their own take on manic grind-core since 1988, and Desperately Insensitive marks the first time the band's material has seen the light of day on a larger metal label. And it's about time the metal masses are exposed to such a fun and refreshing mix of grind, crust, death and punk. While some of the riffs and beats are likely to cause a few yawns, it's impossible to not get caught up in the whole thing, with the band's energy pulling the listener along for a great, hate-filled ride. Pretty cool stuff, and with song titles like "Being Ripped Off In 2002" and "Bomb ABC No Rio," you know it's gonna be a wild ride.
