It's time to start up the rumour mill: although it's not yet confirmed, rumblings are beginning to suggest that shoegaze first-wavers Ride might be reuniting next year.
This speculation is being fuelled by the band's label, Creation Records, which retweeted an image (above) posted by Time Out Barcelona of a massive poster bearing Ride's band name. The poster is in Spain, leading to speculation that the group will appear at Bercelona's Primavera Sound festival in 2015. The festival will run from May 28 to 30.
Creation also retweeted a couple of messages regarding a possible reunion. And yesterday (November 17), the label posted Ride's video for "Leave Them All Behind," writing, "Goodnight ...see you all tomorrow. #Ride #CreationRecords."
UPDATE: What once were rumours are now fact: Ride have confirmed they are indeed reuniting. To prove it, the band have rolled out a string of tour dates, including a stop in Toronto. You can see the schedule below.
Bell has previously stated that he's open to a Ride reunion. Dangerous Minds points out that, when queried about a possible reunion by Drowned in Sound in 2012, he said, "Well, never say never. We're good friends now. We get together once a year and just have a few pints and whatever. We're all pretty busy with what we're doing, but personally, it would be a shame if we never got to play those songs one more time."
If and when Ride reunite, they will be the latest classic shoegaze band to return. Previously, My Bloody Valentine released a new album last year, and Slowdive hit the reunion circuit in 2014.

05/22 Glasgow, Scotland - Barrowland Ballroom
05/23 Manchester, England - Albert Hall

05/29 Barcelona, Spain - Primavera Sound Festival

Assuming that Ride are indeed reuniting, the timing makes a lot of sense. After all, Beady Eye just broke up, meaning that Ride singer-guitarist Andy Bell (who played guitar in Beady Eye, having previously been a member of Oasis) is suddenly without commitments.
Bell has previously stated that he's open to a Ride reunion. Dangerous Minds points out that, when queried about a possible reunion by Drowned in Sound in 2012, he said, "Well, never say never.
