Once again, Japanese pop experimenter Cornelius is treating his Mellow Waves to some new visuals. This time it's for album track "Dear Future Person," which has been set to some very cat-friendly visuals.
The clip, directed by Groovisions, features an animated neko-chan travelling throughout a black-and-white wonderland, with the feline exploring the great outdoors, a home audio room loaded with Cornelius records and various cityscapes.
It's companion (and/or owner), it seems, is an invisible person, represented by nothing but a pair of sneakers. We don't want to be total spoilers, but it ends in a very E.T. sort of way.
You can watch the video for "Dear Future Person" for yourself below.
As previously reported, last year's Mellow Waves recently received a vinyl release, and Cornelius has a series of upcoming North American dates in March, though none in Canada.
