Coldplay To Break-Up At the End of 2009?

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Nov 19, 2008

Just in case there weren’t already enough break-up rumours invading the internet, the Brits are reporting Coldplay may be calling it quits at the end of next year.

Front-man Chris Martin suggested (mind you, not directly stated) to the Daily Express newspaper that Coldplay should pull the plug before they get too old, adding that he wanted the band to stay as busy as humanly possible before their possible end in 2009.

"I'm 31 now and I don't think that bands should keep going past 33," Martin said. "So, we're trying to pack in as much as possible. Up until the end of next year, we'll just go for it in every sense.

"I don't believe in time off. We've still got most of our hair, we can still fit into our musical trousers and we've got to make the most of that."

So does this mean the end of Coldplay? It seems we’ll just have to wait and see.
