Coachella 2021 Has Cancelled Its April Festival

The same goes for sister fest Stagecoach

Just like in 2020, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2021 has officially been cancelled.

The bad news was announced today in California, as Riverside County Public Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser signed an order scrapping all April events in the area due to COVID-19. This includes Coachella 2021, as well as its sister country music event Stagecoach.

Coachella was set to take place on April 9 to 11 and April 16 to 18, while Stagecoach was supposed to take place from April 23 to 25.

You can read the order here.

After scrapping the 2020 editions of the festivals, organizers Goldenvoice had been planning to return to Indio, CA, in April for the festivals, likely in some sort of reduced capacity. Now, it appears the festivals will not take place at all unless they are able to postpone things somehow into much later in the year.

So far, the promoter has announced no plans to reschedule.
