Classified Announces 'Greatful' Album, Plots Canadian Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 23, 2015

No, that's not a misspelling — that's just the title of Maritime rapper Classified's new album, which is indeed called Greatful and will be out on January 15 through Half Life Records/Universal Music Canada.

Classified self-produced the 16-track effort at Halflife Studios in Enfield, NS. Guests include Snoop Dogg, Slug (of Atmosphere), David Myles, Ria Ma, DJ Premier, Snak the Ripper and Mike Boyd.

The official first single is the Snoop Dogg-featuring "No Pressure." Even though that's not out until November 6, it's possible for fans to get a preview of the album, as "Filthy" is already available on iTunes and a video is expected out later today (October 23).

"This album feels like what I've been working towards my whole career," Classified said in a statement. "It took me longer than any other album, it's more personal and I got to work with my heroes in hip-hop. I'm excited to get this out to the fans who have listening to me since day one and the newer listeners who just started listening."

That's Greatful's album cover above and the tracklist below. A short preview snippet of the video for "Filthy" is at the bottom of the page, while the full song can be heard in the embedded Spotify player.

Also below, see Classified's upcoming tour schedule. The rapper will be touring from coast to coast in Canada early next year. Canadian rap peer SonReal will join him on the road.
