Scottish synth-pop trio Chvrches have been rolling out singles from their forthcoming Every Open Eye, and following "Leave a Trace" and "Never Ending Circles," they have now shared "Clearest Blue."
The song is classic Chvrches, with a surge of danceable drum machines and buzzing, twinkling synths that become particularly triumphant and catchy during the thumping instrumental breaks. But while the instrumentation is slick and glossy, Lauren Mayberry's tender vocals give the track a sense of emotive sweetness.
