Chromeo Reveal Release Date and Cover Art for 'White Women'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Feb 14, 2014

Electro-funk lovers Chromeo have used this very special Valentine's Day to properly announce their next salacious set, White Women, hits stores May 12 through Last Gang in Canada and via Big Beat/Atlantic in the U.S.

The duo announced the due date today (February 14) in a Craiglist personals ad, posted as the m4w entry "White Women 05-12-14." We'd argue that they could've gone ahead and posted as mm4w, but maybe Dave 1 and P-Thugg are a little more conservative than we'd expect from a pair of guys known for working sexy-legged keyboard stands.

Unveiled in the post was the cover art, which features the pair squiring an apparent bride-to-be, as well as lyrics to the group's recent, synth-affixed "Come Alive" single with Toro y Moi.

Though a tracklisting has yet to arrive in full, a press release hints that the set will also include "Sexy Socialite," and that the album continues to channel the band's funk and electro-pop influences, while also showcasing anything from "R&B hooks to classic rock riffs."

As previously reported, Chromeo are also heading out on tour later this year. You can see the show schedule, which includes dates in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal, over here.
