Christine and the Queens, who also goes by Chris and performs in character as Redcar, has announced the cancellation of his remaining 2023 tour dates behind Paranoïa, Angels, True Love due to illness.

Chris's team took to Instagram to share that the synthpop star had "taken ill" and was recommended by doctors to cancel his upcoming concerts in North America and Europe. The tour was supposed to pick back up in Montreal tonight, with a Toronto show at Massey Hall also on deck for October 25.

"Red (a.k.a. Christine and the Queens) was taken ill today and on advice of doctors forced to make the difficult decision to cancel all remaining tour dates for 2023," a spokesperson for the artist wrote. "The tour was scheduled to resume tonight in Montreal and end in Paris in late November. Refunds are available at point of purchase."

No further details about the nature of the illness — nor plans to reschedule the shows — have been provided. See the announcement below.
