Now that actor Donald Glover has parted ways with Community, he's diving headlong into his rap career as Childish Gambino. This evidently isn't without its frustrations, however, since he has taken to Twitter today (April 14) to express frustrations with his record label.

His anger surrounds the release of his new video for "Sweatpants," plus the first instalment of his new tour blog, both of which were unveiled today.

In a string of tweets, he wrote, "so this sweatpants video and blog was important to us… and it wasnt handled correctly… we were told a lot of things were gonna happen and they were all lies. so im done. someone buy me out of this contract… a lot of people came around after our first week sales. all those people are welcome now. def jam, atlantic, whatever… i dont like record companies. but im not having another project go through this… i said 'i know how the internet works tho' my record company laughed on the phone and said 'oh really?'… dont lie to me… i know im not loud, or outrageous, or a white girl with a big ass, but im fuckin honest… my team is honest. ur not on my team if ur not honest. dont lie to me."

"Sweatpants" comes from last year's Because the Internet, which was released late December through Glassnote Records. We're not entirely sure what went wrong with the rollout of the video and the blog, but evidently Glover feels that the label wasn't honest with him.

Whatever the case, don't be surprised if the MC goes shopping for a new label the next time he releases an album.
