Childish Gambino is set to drop his latest album Awaken, My Love! this week, and he's just revealed that the vinyl version will be arriving complete with a fancy virtual reality experience.
A limited-edition version of the album on wax is currently listed on his website, which describes it as "virtual reality" vinyl. Like you, we're not entirely sure what that really means, but it does boast the 11 tracks over two heavyweight 12-inch records. It also includes a poster and digital download.
The current list price is $59.99 USD, but a note warns that "pricing subject to change as package content is finalized." The delivery date is listed a "TBD 2017."
He's also updated his PHAROS app, which now includes a live "immersive experience" for previously shared single "Me and Your Mama." It was created in collaboration with Microsoft, and captures Gambino's performance of the song from the live album preview he hosted in Joshua Tree, CA, back in September.
