Chase Cohl

"Windsong"

Canadian-bred Los Angeles resident Chase Cohl comes from a musical family, since she's the daughter of concert mogul Michael Cohl (the former boss of Live Nation, now of S2BN Entertainment), and she's making her own foray into the business with her debut album. Coyote Nights will be out in the late summer, and the track "Windsong" is available to preview in the meantime.

The song is a sweeping folk ballad that's carried by blustery, wordless refrains. It swells during the urgent bridge, but this is mostly a fairly mellow, cinematic track that's designed for swaying slow dances and late night drives.

Coyote Nights is being produced by Noah Georgeson (Devendra Banhart, Bert Jansch, Joanna Newsom) and mixed by Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney.
