In case you weren't aware, at least one aspect of 2023 is set to look like years past: people with more money than you will ever touch in a lifetime are paying up for space flight. One such person is Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa, who announced last month that Steve Aoki would be among his guests on a commercial space flight around the moon — but not before the artist completes a North American tour first.
Before his planned trip around the moon, expected to take place this year, Aoki has lined up his first slate of tour dates since the pandemic began.
The Grammy nominee's trek behind last year's HiROQUEST: Genesis album will come to 12 cities on the continent this February and March, with a pair of Canadian performances kicking off the run.
Aoki will first play Montreal's New City Gas on February 22, ahead of a stop at Toronto's Rebel the following evening (February 23).
