Vancouver musician Ethan Hall is set to drop his debut self-titled EP as Casual Luxury next week, but before it arrives in full, Exclaim! is bringing you another sneak peek at a brand new track.
"Silent Dreams" follows up the previously revealed "From the Balcony," offering up a slice of slow-building indie rock ferocity. Quick pulsating percussion is matched with melodic guitar lines and Hall's deadpan vocal delivery, blending together to serve as the upcoming EP's final track.
According to Hall, it was inspired by the "ethereal imagination" of Studio Ghibli film Spirited Away and the "adventurous sci-fi" of anime series Cowboy Bebop. Hear those influences merge on "Silent Dreams" below.
