Carly Dow Maps Out Canadian Tour, Premieres New Video

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Apr 24, 2015

Manitoba singer-songwriter Carly Dow is gearing up for the release of her debut album Ingrained, and she's just announced that she'll be hitting the road in support of the new material.

The record officially arrives on May 13 and will be celebrated with an album launch show at the West End Cultural Centre in Winnipeg. From there, Dow will hop on a train and perform as a VIA Rail Onboard Musician as she travels across the country. Onboard performances are scheduled for May 17, 24 and 31, with local shows scheduled during stops. You can see the full list of shows listed below.

In addition to the upcoming shows, Dow has shared a new video for album cut "Soil to Dust," and Exclaim! has got your first look at the clip. It definitely goes for an old-school vibe, opening on a shot of a typewriter, then exploring prairie scenery with vintage-looking black-and-white shots. Gorgeous farmland and highway landscapes are juxtaposed with piles of broken technology and forests littered with debris. It was shot and edited by Dow between Manitoba and Texas, and you can scroll past the tour dates to give it a watch.
