You've never dreamed about being in Pavement, but that's only because you never thought you'd get the chance. Start dreaming, people: the band announced this morning that they are holding a contest that gives one lucky fan the chance to play guitar for the indie rock pioneers for day - on late night television!
As Pavement's long-time label, Matador, reports, the band are now accepting video submissions from fans playing a Pavement song on guitar. All videos will be judged by the band, after which the public will vote on a whittled-down shortlist of the best submissions.
Entries must be recieved by September 8. Fan voting will begin September 13, and the winner will play with Pavement live on Fallon September 23.
