Caboladies' Eric Lanham Preps 'The Sincere Interruption' for Spectrum Spools

Electronic music fans can always count the Editions Mego imprint Spectrum Spools to deliver a steady stream of sonically adventurous releases, and here's another new album from you to look forward to. Due out July 3, The Sincere Interruption is Eric Lanham's first LP under his own name, and follows his releases with projects like Carl Calm, Palmetto Moon Electronic Group and Caboladies.

The nine-track collection consists of improvised recordings that were "recorded in superb fidelity with great attention to sound placement and frequency variations." They incorporate "elements of late '90s/early '00s Mille Plateaux/Warp" releases in the form of "disjointed rhythms [that] are bent into surgically precise and meticulously pieced concrete/electronic form." In fact, there's so much sonic richness that it's said to be "a challenge to hear the album the same way twice."

The tracks were recorded in March at ELS. The collection will be available digitally and on LP. Check out the tracklist below and pre-order the album here.
