Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band just rolled out their box set reissue of The River and booked a tour. But the Boss has now revealed that he also has his sights set on a new solo endeavour.
"The project I've been working on is more of a solo project," he told SiriusXM's E Street Radio [via Rolling Stone]. "It wasn't a project I was going to probably take the band out on. So I said, 'Gee, that's going to push the band playing again until a ways in the future. It'll be nice to get some playing in so you don't wind up being two or three years between E Street tours.' This [tour] will give us a chance to get out there and stretch our muscles a little bit."
Presumably, this "solo project" will be an album, although Springsteen doesn't shed any more light on what exactly he's working on. This will be the follow-up to 2014's High Hopes (which was recorded with the E Street Band).
See the band's tour schedule below. Evidently this will be their last tour for some time, if the frontman will be going solo for his next endeavour.
