British Music Festival Forced to Ban Potato Peelers After Booking Liam Gallagher

The long war between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher continues, truce be damned. Last year, Liam told his fans to peel potatoes during his show in an effort to poke fun at Noel for having a scissors player in his band. As a result, a music festival has been forced to ban potato peelers from being brought in.

Liam Gallagher has been scheduled to headline Manchester's Parklife, which takes place at Heaton Park from June 9 to 10.

In an interview with the Manchester Evening News [via NME], festival founder Sacha Lord-Marchionne explained that he's already been inundated with requests to bring the kitchen hand tool.

"We've been so blown away by this week's launch and the demand for tickets, but even more blown away at how many people have asked to bring in potato peelers for Liam's main stage performance!" he said. "In case you're wondering — the answer is most definitely no!"

No word yet on whether or not you're allowed to bring pre-peeled potatoes, so that might have to be the workaround.
