North Carolina hushed folk trio Bowerbirds have been busy at work on their sophomore record, the follow-up to 2007's beloved Hymns for a Dark Horse. It's called Upper Air and will be out July 7 on Dead Oceans. If you're impatient, you can grab a song from the album, "Northern Lights", here.
Surrounding the album's release, the group will be heading out on a massive North American tour with fellow NC residents Megafaun. The tour, which kicks off in Washington, DC on July 6, sees the two groups traversing much of the continent, with Canadian stops in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
