The new release also features outtakes from 'John Wesley Harding,' 'Nashville Skyline' and 'Self Portrait'

A session featuring Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash has been dug up to appear on Dylan's forthcoming release Travelin' Thru, 1967–1969: The Bootleg Series Vol. 15. Featuring an impressive 47 previously unreleased recordings, the expansive set is due out November 1 via Columbia/Legacy Recordings.

The session with Cash was recorded in over two days in Nashville in 1969 and consisted of recording "Girl from the North Country," jamming with Carl Perkins, covering "Mystery Train" and "You Are My Sunshine," and writing Cash's "Wanted Man."

The full recordings from that session appear on the latest installment of The Bootleg Series, which will arrive digitally and as 3-CD and 3-LP vinyl sets.

There are also a handful of Cash covers from the Self Portrait sessions and the soundtrack to Dylan's 1969 appearance on The Johnny Cash Show.

Also included on the upcoming release are outtakes from Dylan's 1967 John Wesley Harding sessions and Nashville Skyline, as well as home recordings with Earl Scruggs and his family.

Listen to Dylan's newly uncovered recording of "I Pity the Poor Immigrant (Take 4)," and see the full tracklisting and credits for The Bootleg Series Vol. 15 below.
