Blue Rodeo have been making the rounds on tour this summer — and they're keen on making it last. The CanCon legends have announced a tour in celebration of 1993's Five Days in July, which had its 30-year anniversary back in (you guessed it) July.
UPDATE (10/23, 11:41 a.m. ET): The band have added an additional date at Toronto's Massey Hall this December, which you can see in bold below. Tickets go on sale Friday (October 27) at 10 a.m. ET after presales begin Wednesday (October 25).
"We have a rare opportunity to revisit Five Days In July in its entirety, " lead singer Jim Cuddy said in a statement. "This being the record's 30th birthday, we thought we would do a few special shows and play the record front to back. Should be fun."
The nine-date tour kicks off on October 4 at Montreal's Place des Arts, after which BR will play five shows in Ontario: Niagara's Fallsview Casino on October 6, Hamilton's FirstOntario Concert Hall on October 13, Kingston's Leon's Centre on October 14, London's Budweiser Gardens on October 15 and Belleville's Empire Theatre on October 17.
After that, the band will finish the run of anniversary concerts for their fifth album at the Avenir Centre in Moncton (October 21), the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax (October 22) and the Savoy Theatre in Glace Bay (October 23).
A presale for tickets starts tomorrow (August 22) at 10 a.m. local time on the band's website. General on-sale begins Friday (August 25).
