Blue Rodeo Announce 2014 Canadian Tour in Support of New 'In Our Nature' Album

Blue Rodeo Announce 2014 Canadian Tour in Support of New 'In Our Nature' Album
Last year, Blue Rodeo looked back on their career with a massive box set and a 25th anniversary tour. Now, they're moving forward again, since they just announced a sprawling Canadian tour in support of the new album.

The new album is called In Our Nature and it's due out on October 29 through Warner. By the sound of things, the new songs are tailor-made for touring, since vocalist Greg Keelor said in a statement, "Doing a lot of touring while making this record helped a lot. Everybody was getting along and the band was playing well together. It's a good crop of songs and everyone just played it right and they played it beautifully."

The tour is a lengthy one. The band will begin on the West Coast, playing Vancouver on January 2 and Victoria on January 4. From there, they will travel across the Prairies and all the way to Atlantic Canada before backtracking and wrapping up in Ontario and Quebec in early March.

See the schedule below. The band estimate that this is their 50th Canadian tour. This time around, they will be touring as a seven-piece with the addition of guitarist Colin Cripps. The shows will be opened by the Devin Cuddy Band, who are fronted by Blue Rodeo member Jim Cuddy's son.

Fans who buy tickets will get a CD copy of In Our Nature as a bonus. Scroll past the tour itinerary to see a lyric video for the album cut "New Morning Sun."
