Black Milk

'Demo Beat 2012'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Dec 7, 2012

While Black Milk's 2011 had him collaborating with Slaughterhouse, Bilal and Danny Brown, as well as issuing some material on Third Man Records, the Detroit producer has kept pretty quiet this year. With just a couple of weeks to go in the year, the beatmaker has now dropped a rarities mix of rough cuts called Demo Beat 2012.

It's a nearly seven-minute stream of smooth samples and deep clap beats, with one spaced-out section dropping sleigh bells, sinister synths and glitchy twitches atop a slowed-down sample of Hot Butter's "Popcorn." You can pick out the rest for yourself in the stream down below.
