BJ the Chicago Unveils 'In My Mind' LP, Premieres New Video

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 22, 2016

Now that he's released his touching tribute EP to D'Angelo, BJ the Chicago Kid is gearing up for the release of his long-in-the-works full-length, In My Mind. Featuring guest spots from the likes of Chance the Rapper and Kendrick Lamar, the Motown Records release has finally been detailed in full and given a February 19 due date.

The 15-song In My Mind is the first proper full-length from the Kid since 2012's Pineapple Now-Laters, and like that album's "My Pain," it finds the now L.A.-based singer bringing aboard Kendrick Lamar for a few bars. This time, King Kendrick appears on a track called "The New Cupid."

Other big names on the disc include Chi-town hero Chance the Rapper, who appears on the previously leaked "Church," and Mississippi spitter Big K.R.I.T., who helped fill out BJ's "The Resume." Other artists tapped for a guest spot include Buddy, Constantine, Isabella, Isa and Eric Ingram.

The record doesn't, however, feature BJ the Chicago Kid's 2015 summer jam "That Girl" with OG Maco.

You'll find the tracklisting info down below, where you'll also find a video for heart-thumping, drumline-indebted new single "Love Inside."
