Biblical

"The Quiet Crooks"

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 28, 2014

While the wait for Toronto rockers Biblical's debut LP Monsoon Season is nearly over, the quartet are serving up another teaser track ahead of the March 11 due date through New Damage Records. Up next from the group is the hazy and disorienting slow jam "The Quiet Crooks."

Watery guitar lines and a steady waltz trickle throughout the whole track, but the subtle mix soon gets shocked by a series of fuzz-fried and bluesy leadwork and the steady rise of bassist Nick Sewell's vocals, which go from calm and cooed to a scratchy howl.
