Bersarin Quartett

"Sanft Verblassen die Geschichten"

BY Alan RantaPublished Oct 30, 2015

Not so much an actual quartet but a cinematic construct for Thomas Bücker's creativity as a composer and producer, Bersarin Quartett is about to release its third album, simply titled III. Returning to Denovali Records, III continues Bücker's evocative exploration of melancholic neo-classical and imaginary film soundtracks. Ahead of its release date on November 6th, Exclaim! is proud to premiere "Sanft Verblassen die Geschichten."

Roughly translated to "Gently fading stories" in English, "Sanft Verblassen die Geschichten" has a uniformed sound, beginning and ending on a warm yet wistful electric piano-esque melody. As it begins, a looping string section appears with a shudder, giving way to lengthy notes that mix with guitar. With a rising cymbal, the ambiance and instruments swell, lushly floating along as it builds to a builds to a rumble, then dissipates in a lengthy delay to a refrain of the opening cadence.

Snag the album digitally or physically on CD and double LP when it hits shelves on November 6, and check out the stream of "Sanft Verblassen die Geschichten" below.
