Bearsuit Publishing to Celebrate Two Years with the Coast and Meligrove Band at Toronto Birthday Bash

BY Ronak GhorbaniPublished Sep 9, 2009

It was after kicking back a few drinks at the 2007 SXSW that Bearsuit Publishing was born. Fellow music biz buddies Chris Budd (TV/Film licensing manager at Aporia Records) and Blair Purda (founder of Endearing Records and Publishing) decided to team up and take on the music publishing industry.

In only two short years, they've begun to represent artists such as Julie Doiron, Lily Frost, Paper Moon, Black Diamond Bay and indie label We are Busy Bodies (The Meligrove Band, DD/MM/YYY), helping them all land spots in the world of TV, film and advertising.

To now celebrate their success and second anniversary, Bearsuit is throwing a massive party at Toronto's El Mocambo on September 16, featuring their clients the Coast, Meligrove Band, the Narrative, Girl + the Machine, Brent Randall and his Pinecones and Emma-Lee.

If you've always wanted to see how media execs rock out, this won't be a night to miss.

Advance tickets are $12, and will be $15 at the door. For more information and some songs to sample, click here.
