Beach Fossils Return with 'Bunny' LP, Share New Single "Don't Fade Away"

Let the wistful jangle take you back to 2010

Remember indie rock from 2010? The fidelity was non-existent, the reverb-y jangle was plentiful, references to the beach were frequent and every band came from Brooklyn. One of the key bands from that time, Beach Fossils, are now returning with their first album in six years. Bunny is out June 2 via Bayonet.

Bunny was self-produced by frontman Dustin Payseur. He also mixed the album alongside Lars Stalfors. Listeners can get a taste of Bunny in the form of the very 2010-sounding "Don't Fade Away," a wistful jangler à la Real Estate or DIIV. It comes with a video directed by Kevin Clark.

"When I wrote the first record, there were no choruses; it was instrumental guitar parts in between verses. This is the first record where I've consciously thought about writing a chorus," Payseur said in a statement.

The album is available to pre-order now. It's Beach Fossils' first LP since 2017's Somersault.
