Published Nov 10, 2015New York rapper Azealia Banks is currently under investigation by the LAPD for allegedly assaulting a nightclub security guard last September.
TMZ reports that the incident in question took place at Los Angeles' Break Room 86, with Banks and a group of friends having been approached by security and told to leave for being "unruly." As Banks was making her way out of the building, she allegedly attempted to pull a fire alarm.
A security guard had tried to grab Banks as she was "messing with the fire control valves," which then led to the rapper swinging punches at the employee. Security camera footage can be seen over on TMZ.
A criminal battery investigation is ongoing.
This isn't the only physical altercation Banks has been involved in this fall. In September, she allegedly spit on and punched another passenger on a Delta Airlines flight and yelled at a flight attendant apparently trying to diffuse the situation.
In related news, the rapper just cancelled a bunch of November tour dates, noting she's "very busy at work." Earlier this year, she had revealed plans to issue an LP titled Business & Pleasure, but a firm release date has yet to be delivered.
