Arkells have announced their long-awaited inevitable return to Toronto for two back-to-back nights at Budweiser Stage this summer.
The Hamilton heroes will perform on June 21 alongside Tegan and Sara and be joined by Grouplove on June 22, with additional support at both shows from Adam Melchor.
“The last time we played Budweiser Stage was three summers ago,” bandleader and snowplow namesake Max Kerman said in a statement about the band's 2021 comeback show. “It was a long-weekend affair, the first shows back after nobody had been allowed to attend a concert in quite some time. They were the most emotional and euphoric shows we’ve ever played, and a truly special return to the stage. But if you know one thing about Arkells, it’s that our goal is to always make each show better than the last. So we’ve hit the ground running, with an aim to build the biggest party of the summer.”
Tickets for Arkells' Doubleheader Weekend go on sale Friday (January 26) at 10 a.m. ET. Fans can sign up to access the presale, which begins tomorrow (January 24).
