Ariana Grande Might Be on Mac Miller's Posthumous Album 'Circles'

Do the background vocals on "I Can See" sound familiar?

Mac Miller's posthumous album Circles arrived last week, and there's speculation that there could be an uncredited appearance by Ariana Grande on one of the tracks.

"I Can See" features an airy background vocalist on the hook, and according to producer Jon Brion, it could very well be Miller's ex-girlfriend, Grande.

When asked by the New York Times if there were any Grande vocals on the song, Brion said:

I believe there are. Somebody just told me something about that, some kerfuffle. I mean, that was a pre-existing track. There were a few songs the family gave me that he'd been working on independently that I thought fit thematically with what we had worked on. "I Can See" was one of those, also "Complicated," "Blue World" and "Everybody." I played some things on those tracks to make them feel like the others, but those vocals were already there. It wasn't like an executive decision or anything.

Grande herself has yet to comment on whether or not she appears on the record, though she did recently share a silent video of Miller working on music while his dog Myron runs around.

She posted it on what would have been Miller's birthday, January 19.
