Arcade Fire's Win Butler and Régine Chassagne just made an appearance in Lakou Mizik's new video for "Iko Kreyòl." The song comes as a reimagining of the Mardi Gras classic "Iko Iko," and will be featured on Mizik's upcoming album HaitiaNola.

The song in the video below is a remix under Butler's DJ Windows 98 moniker. Meanwhile, the video sees Butler and Chassagne alongside Mizik, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and 79rs Gang in the streets of New Orleans for a veritable Mardi Gras celebration called Krewe du Kanaval — a festival that highlights the historical and cultural connections between New Orleans and Haiti.

Chassagne herself is of Haitian heritage and formed the Kanaval festival alongside the Preservation Hall Jazz Band following a trip with them to Haiti. Next year's festival will take place on February 15 in New Orleans. Stay tuned for the festival's lineup on the event's website.
