Alexandria Maillot

"Sunday Sara" (video)

The last we heard from Vancouver Island's Alexandria Maillot, she was twisting up a Whitney Houston classic. One year later, she's gearing up for the release of an album of originals called Time, and she's previewing the collection with an especially splattered music video for its "Sunday Sara."

A press release suggests that the alt-pop artist's new tune is "painting an apt illustration of her personal evolution," a sentiment complemented quite nicely with its accompanying music video.

Scored by a clap-happy beat, softened vocals, and ethereal synth textures, it finds a young woman waking up to find a pair of paint cans placed in the middle of her pristine, all-white bedroom. While the inky contents cause a bit of concern at first, she eventually learns to let loose and wreak playful havoc on her surroundings.

You'll find the colorful, horizons-expanding video below, while Time arrives on June 10. There's also just the audio of the track at the bottom of the page.
