Now that rising pop-and-soul singer Alessia Cara has announced her forthcoming Know-It-All LP, the artist is letting us get to know one of its many tracks. Her latest reveal from the set is called "Wild Things," and you can check out the rebel anthem in a pre-release audio stream.
Despite that title, "Wild Things" finds Cara playing things a bit low-key, with smooth-as-satin vocal runs gliding above the arrangement's spacious piano plunks, tambourine jinglings and percussive thwomp.
That said, she tries to rally all the rabble-rousing rebels out there to sing along with her on the chorus.
"If you don't like our 808s, then leave us alone, 'cuz we don't need your policies," she tunefully threatens towards the powers that be before refusing to apologize for being a wild thing.
You can check out the track below, while Know-It-All sees release November 13 via Def Jam.
