A TV morning show host is taking some serious online heat after she automatically assumed a K-pop star in NCT 127 didn't speak English — even though he is from Canada.
NCT 127 recently appeared on Fox's Fox's Good Day L.A. on Tuesday (October 9). Following a performance, band member Mark Lee told the host he was from Vancouver, to which the anchor responded: "Very cool, your English is awesome. I love it."
As CTV points out, the online reaction has been more than a little negative, with one Twitter user going viral by writing, "I mean he's from Canada, what is he supposed to speak, moose?"
See the fallout for yourself below, where you can also watch the "your English is awesome" clip.
This all comes as NCT 127's new album Regular Irregular arrives on Friday (October 12).
