A Perfect Circle have been hinting at a new album for an excruciatingly long time now, and although the band have confirmed that it won't be arriving until next year, they have just unveiled a new single to tide eager fans over.
"The Doomed" is about as bleak as its title implies and arrives as a response to the divisive political times we live in.
"Fourteen years have passed since we released eMOTIVe," Maynard James Keenan said in a statement. "A new release is long overdue. In light of this current difficult and polarized social, spiritual and political climate, we artist types need to open our big mouths and share the light a little louder."

As previously reported, the band will embark on a fall North American tour later this week.
