After a four-year delay, former Little Brother member 9th Wonder is about to drop his long-gestating Wonder Years LP. While the record was announced shortly after the producer left the group, it's taken a while for him to get the record going. Now it will finally see release this September.
While originally set to be released on Warner Brothers/Asylum Records, the product will be an indie affair issued on 9th Wonder's own It's A Wonderful World Music Group. Though a tracklisting has yet to be unveiled, Wonder Years is rumoured to feature guest appearances from Jean Grae, Little Brother, Skyzoo, Thee Tom Hardy and Rapsody.
Though the project was a long time coming, it's not like 9th Wonder's been resting on his laurels. His production work pops up on Drake's upcoming Take Care and he was recently the subject of a documentary titled The Wonder Year. Currently seeking screenings across North America, the film focuses on the soul-sampling producer's craft over the course of a year. You can check out a trailer below.
