50 Cent Is Making a Sitcom Called 'My Friend 50'

From his early tweets about taking out the trash to his endlessly hilarious (and occasionally mean-spirited) Instagram page, there's no denying that 50 Cent has one hell of a wacky sense of humour. Now, he'll take his comedy chops to the next level with a new sitcom.

The show is called My Friend 50, and we have a feeling it's going to be our favourite new guilty pleasure.

As Deadline reports, it's about "an unstable twenty-something" named Amanda who believes that all of her life's problems will be answered if she joins 50 Cent's entourage. Eventually, Amanda ends up creating and narrating a documentary about 50 and his crew.

My Friend 50 is being produced by Will Packer (known for Think Like a ManStraight Outta Compton and the upcoming Uncle Buck reboot) for FOX. It's also being produced by Universal Television and 50's own G-Unit Film & Television company.

Here's hoping this horrible sitcom premise helps 50 through his recent financial woes.
