Watch the Trailer for Wes Anderson's 'Asteroid City'

The film arrives in theatres this June

Wes Anderson's follow-up to The French Dispatch — one of Exclaim!'s Best Films of 2021 — is heading to theatres on June 16, and we've finally got a trailer to prove it.

Asteroid City, a co-write with Roman Coppola, also has an official synopsis: "The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events."

As previously reported, the film will cull the talents of Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Liev Schreiber, Hope DavisMaya Hawke, Steve Carell, Matt Dillon, Hong Chau, Willem Dafoe, Margot Robbie, Stephen Park, Rupert Friend, Tony Revolori, Jake Ryan, Grace Edwards, Aristou Meehan, Sophia Lillis, Ethan Lee, Jeff Goldblum and Rita Wilson.

Anderson will follow Asteroid City with The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, a Netflix production under the streamer's recent acquisition of Roald Dahl's catalogue of stories.
