Sam Jones' upcoming Tony Hawk documentary Tony Hawk: Until the Wheels Fall Off was announced back in the summer of 2021, and today, we get a brand new trailer for the film, which is debuting on HBO on April 5.
The documentary follows the 53-year-old skateboarding legend's life with archival footage and a series of interviews with people like filmmaker and skateboard pioneer Stacy Peralta and professional skateboarders like Rodney Mullen, Mike McGill, Lance Mountain, Steve Caballero, Neil Blender, Duane Peters and Christian Hosoi.
The film's soundtrack features bands like the Clash, Sex Pistols, Echo and the Bunnymen, Joy Division, Pavement, the Replacements, New Order and more.
The trailer features lots of footage and photographs of Hawk skating, intercut with interview snippets from family, friends, fans and Hawk himself. It looks like the doc will cover some heavy territory, including Hawk's relationship to parenthood and addiction.
