When he's not slinging burgers at his newly established Mooby's restaurant, Kevin Smith has been working on the release of his forthcoming horror flick, Killroy Was Here — and now we have the film's first official trailer.
Without a firm release date, we do know that the slasher is expected to arrive sometime in 2021. It was written and directed by Smith, and stars pro-wrestler Chris Jericho, Smith's daughter Harley Quinn Smith, and longtime collaborators Jason Mewes and Ralph Garman.
The trailer itself reveals the guts of a super campy slasher flick, one packed with hokey SFX and bloody violence coming from every direction. The film's killer is based loosely on a World War II-era doodle with the same name, and you can see nods to the creepy long-nosed gentleman throughout.
Smith premiered the Killroy trailer on Saturday (July 25) during Comic-Con@Home's livestream event, during which he also hosted an hour-long special called "An Evening with Kevin Smith."
