Just don't criticize Timothée Chalamet's manifesto

Wes Anderson's 10th full-length feature film — the perpetually postponed The French Dispatch — finally premiered at Cannes on Monday (July 12), and Fox Searchlight has now shared the first clip from the film. The snippet, titled "Let's Start with the Typos," features Frances McDormand and Timothée Chalamet.

As previously reported, The French Dispatch's cast also includes Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Benicio Del Toro, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Jeffrey Wright, Stephen Park, Lyna Khoudri, Mathieu Amalric, Liev Schreiber, Elisabeth Moss, Edward Norton, Willem Dafoe, Lois Smith, Saoirse Ronan, Christoph Waltz, Cecile De France, Guillaume Gallienne, Jason Schwartzman, Tony Revolori, Rupert Friend, Henry Winkler, Bob Balaban, Hippolyte Girardot and Anjelica Huston.

The star-studded film takes place in a fictional town in 20th-century era France, centring on a foreign outpost of an American newspaper. This first clip pulls from the second of three main storylines, with McDormand as American journalist Lucinda Krementz and Chalamet as a student named Zeffirelli.
