Toronto movie fans, prepare yourselves to get misty-eyed at the cinema — and we don't mean emotional. Cineplex is gearing up to install Canada's first-ever 4DX cinema.
The technology offers motion chairs along with wind, mist, bubbles and smells, all of which are triggered to the action on scene. Be thankful this technology wasn't available for some of last year's poo-themed movies.
Cineplex signed on with Seoul's CJ 4Dplex company during this year's CinemaCon, with plans to instal 4DX at their Yonge-Dundas location this summer.
"We are very excited and hopefully this will be the first of more," Cineplex COO Dan McGrath said at the signing.
