Acclaimed director Denis Villeneuve has another massive project on his hands with his forthcoming Dune adaptation. We recently learned that the film would be expanded to two movies, and today there are rumblings of who will star.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Call Me By Your Name star and all-around it guy Timothee Chalamet is in talks to play the lead.
If it happens, Chalamet would take on the role of Paul Atreides in Villeneuve's adaptation of Frank Herbert's legendary sci-fi book. It's the same role that Kyle MacLachlan played in David Lynch's notoriously underperforming 1984 version of the film.
Denis Villeneuve's Dune is expected to start production in 2019.
